The Retronautic Institute has assembled a fine and vintage collection of
German shop window displays (Schaufenster) from curator Jan Willemsen. Some of the compositions (a few Swedish, I think, ones too were snuck in) are severe and very techno-industrial, I thought, and was glad that someone bothered to document something as passing as store fronts. German stores, as a rule, still get very creative and expressive with their displays, especially for the holiday seasons, throughout the year.
